Come to SolarFest, this Saturday Sept. 10th!

https://www.solarfest.org/

Join us on Sat. Sept. 10th in Brandon, VT

Everything is in place for a fun day of music & dancing (eight bands!), exhibits & workshops, food and drink, and — most importantly — getting together with great people and sharing the most interesting conversations. Dedicated volunteers have prepped the spaces, mowed the fields, built picnic tables and restored the historic stage. The rest is up to you…

Tickets are only $15 in advance; ids are free!

The gates open at 11 a.m. for this homecoming party rain or shine. There’s an incredible lineup of performers kicking off at noon with the ambient music of Cam Gilmour, followed by the rock & blues of the Andris Berry Band and the Krishna Guthrie Band. The afternoon continues with traditional folk music by Fern Maddie and the singer/songwriters in the round, featuring Phil Henry, Lara Herscovitch, Cloudbelly, and Dylan Patrick Ward. The evening concludes with with the Indie Alt-country tunes of Luminous Crush and the Jazz Pop Fusion of Satyrdagg.

What about workshops and hands-on demos?

Todd Tyson starts it up with the latest in EV’s, including two-wheel, four-wheel, and no-wheel vehicles! Danielle Laberge is running the Intro to Solar & Storage, Gwen St. Sauveur will take us through the best and most affordable net-zero building designs, and Bill Laberge explains what’s in the new Inflation Reduction Act, and how to make the most of this unique opportunity.

Plus you can try out an electric bike, see how easy it is to take your refrigerator off-grid, enjoy the kids corner and the petting zoo, and try your hand at the science of energy, including a working model of the original Davenport Electric Motor — and more!

Hope to see you on Saturday, Sept. 10
